Priority Electric LLC — Powering what matters

Pacific spans a county line. Your project does not.

Tell someone your town is in both King and Pierce County and the paperwork suddenly sounds complicated. It is not, and the housing numbers show why: the 2026 estimate puts 2,494 Pacific units in King County and 19 in Pierce County. Whatever the map says, your project happens at one street address, and that address, not the county label, decides every question that matters.

Priority Electric starts from the project you actually have: an outlet that quit, a circuit for a new appliance, an addition getting drawn. Call (206) 718-3047 or tell us what you are planning.

Guidance: who signs off on what in Pacific

Pacific's Building Department says National Electrical Code permits are administered by Washington State Labor & Industries, while the City issues building, mechanical, and plumbing permits and performs related plan review and field inspections. One project can ride both tracks at once, a remodel being the classic case, and neither track answers for the other. The intake that keeps them straight is short: the address, what stopped working or is being added, whether construction changes walls or the use of space, and whether a City building permit is already in motion.

Guidance: the City's inspection days carry a caveat

The City says its building inspections are currently scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays, with requests received by 3 p.m. before the inspection date. The word currently is doing real work in that sentence, so recheck the schedule when your project approaches that stage, and remember it describes City building inspections, not L&I electrical inspections. If wiring needs to stay visible for review, or another trade is about to close a wall, say so early; sequencing is cheaper than reopening drywall.

What a good request sounds like here

For a repair, describe the affected rooms, what you noticed, whether a breaker tripped, and what you have left alone; that routes to troubleshooting and repair. For an addition, send drawings if they exist, planned room uses, equipment, lighting goals, and who is coordinating; that is remodel electrical territory. For a rental or small property, add access limits and the owner or manager contact. A new circuit request mostly needs to say what the circuit will feed.

One note that saves three phone calls

Before reaching out, put the street address, where on the property the work sits, the owner or manager contact, and the work category in a single note, plus a sentence on whether the space is occupied and whether a remodel is underway. That note does not replace a site visit or a permit inquiry; it prevents a county label or a neighbor's project from becoming the basis for a decision about yours. Our own paper trail follows: the discussed work becomes a written scope with its own number, and we call before adding anything outside it.

When the note can wait

Smoke, flames, a shock, sparks, or an exposed energized condition: get clear and call 911. A whole street without power belongs with the utility, whichever side of the county line it falls on. Web forms are for everything slower, and a breaker that keeps tripping earns a note about what was running, not another reset.

One address, one conversation

Send the note through Request an Estimate or call (206) 718-3047, and the county line stops mattering.

Denis at Priority Electric LLC delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish. We hired him to completely replace all the lighting in our kitchen, including updating the old fixtures and replacing all the recessed can lighting in the ceiling. What truly set Denis apart was his customer-focused approach. Before committing to the full ceiling job, he offered to install a complimentary can light as a test run. This allowed us to see the final look and brightness, which was incredibly helpful in making our final decision. The quality of the work was impeccable and fully met our expectations, and we found his pricing to be very fair for the scope of the project.
